Chris and I are heartbroken to post that our second baby has come and gone. Sadly we were forced to put Jack down Memorial Day due to an unforeseen illness. Little did we know that our time with him would be so short especially after losing his brother in January. Our days have been a struggle, we miss his sloppy kisses, pushy bed sharing, ball chasing self. It was such a shock for us, I don't think the reality has truly set in. Each day we come home expecting to see a groggy head poke out from the bedroom and him waddling down the hall to greet us. He'd become such a joy in our lives and to now have him gone is unbearable. We often complained that the house was quiet when Cobi passed and it was just Jack left...we had no clue what quite was!! Sadly, we now do. If there is anything that brings us comfort is knowing that he had the best last five months. He found the joy of snow, the fun of playing ball with mom and dad, going for car rides and having the whole back seat to himself, that hiking was for the birds and that we thought he hung the moon. We miss our baby tremendously and hope he knows that he truly was a great friend and companion.
