Since Cobi's passing Chris and I have really put all of our of our time and efforts into making Jack happy. When everything happened we were certain that he wouldn't even notice that Cob was gone, he was always more worried about himself and bulling his brother around to even care. It's amazing how much he's been affected by everything. The silly, overbearing wild dog he was has now become a sad, lonely guy who only finds comfort in sleeping. His depression has made Chris and I sad just to look at him so we've been doing everything in our power to bring him back and let him know that we'll all be fine sooner or later. He's gotten a new collar and comfy bed. We've started going on nightly walks in his new harness and the treats are now ever flowing. Slowly he's shown glimpses of the old dog we knew and tonight just happened to be one of those nights. I was able to get him to rough house and just play like a dog. We were able to find an old ball that was one of his favorites so we played tag with it in the house! It was so nice to see him smile and just have fun. Hopefully soon he'll be back to his old habits again being the overbearing dog he used to be. :)
Jackie and his ball.
Poor guy had so much fun he fell asleep next to his ball.
