2010 Cooper River Bridge Run

The first ever Team 'Stache arrived and represented in the 33rd Annual Cooper River Bridge Run. Where the idea came from I don't know. Chris' cousin Jessica is a graphic designer who made the executive decision that we would represent in style this year by sporting a 'stache and her newly designed t-shirts. So at 4:30 am while the rest of Charleston was awaking to put on their new shoes, shirts and race gear we were dawning our freshly styled facial hair. To my surprise it was quite comfortable, I actually found myself petting the newly dawned lip hair on our way downtown! As for the race, man, the number of people this year far outweighed last years crowd. We were smashed in like sardines which helped with the blistery weather. Standing in shorts and a tee in 44 degree weather is not recommended prior to running a race. The good ole' muscles get quite tight just standing around in the cold. How nice it was to actually get running and have blood moving through the veins!! Overall a pretty uneventful run, just pounding feet on a bridge going 6.21 miles to the finish line. As a group we finished at 55.54 (Alison) 56.55 (Caresse) 57.50 (Me) 1:03 (Chris) 1:06 (Jessica). Pretty good if you ask me. Can't wait for next year!
