It was a crappy morning

This morning I had an unforgettable moment with my daughter. We were in the middle of our morning commute to my sister in laws house when I overheard Elloree handling natures call. Now that she's getting older it's no longer a surprise, you know when she's going and it's funny to hear. Boy, if I only knew that my laugh would soon come back to bite me in the buns I would have never done it!
When we arrived at the house I got out as normal and proceeded to get Elle out but when I opened the door I realized something was really wrong...we had a BLOWOUT and it was everywhere! I know most babies have a bad one every now and then but, this was not just a little accident. This was on her blanket (Game), car seat, clothes, hands everywhere!
I tried taking her in to change but, it wasn't happening! I ran her to the bathroom and threw her in the tub...POOP and all! To make matters worse she had a nice outfit on today so it's not like I could cut her out of it. I had to pull everything from below over her head and yes...it got in her hair and on her face. It was awful. My poor daughter didn't know what hit her. She was so upset that she had to get another bath and she couldn't figure out why mommy was so rushed. To my dismay through out sprint to the bathroom and washing some of her mess ended up on my nice clean work clothes! Six months ago I would have lost it by this point. Not now, a wipe and some soap does the job. No need to go home and change! :)
Once we were fresh and clean and the bathtub had been scrubbed I now needed to get her dressed again. A simple task. You'd think...IF I HAD AN EXTRA PAIR OF CLOTHES!! Yes, after all of this I realized that I forgot to pack more clothes in her bag. I took the old ones out to wash them and never added anything new. How could I forget this? AAAHHH! Luckily, there was a spare onesie at my sister in laws that I was able to throw it on her. At one point it really was looking like Elle was going all day in her diaper. Poor girl. In the moment I was so flustered but looking at it now it was pretty darn funny.

  1. Oh, I feel ya! Why is it this always seems to happen when they are in their car seats?

I remember one time, I had to pull over in Neeses, SC to deal with Taylor's blowout. Holy Moly.
