Riding on the Boat

Oh! Our boating adventures...
We took my parents out on the boat Saturday and we really had a great time. We cruised down the Cooper into the harbor and out to Fort Sumter. Mom had never been out to see it so we thought it would be nice. The guys were able to jump out and swim around for a little while and Mom even conquered her fears from one too many "Shark Week Episodes" and hung off the back off the boat to partake in water activities { :) }. If that wasn't enough we decided to head down the "Goose Creek" to enjoy its peaceful views and then...we decided to run out of gas. Yes, you heard me correctly. We ran out of gas. Through blessings from the Lord above the creek we were in runs right under North Rhett, 5 minutes from our house. The other blessing was that George (Chris' Dad) had just come back into town and was able to assist in bringing us petro. So we paddle to the bypass, through a line under a rock and waited for George to rescue us. To many this would have been a major downer to an other wise good day but, not for us. We filled up (my father in law was not happy) and crossed our fingers that we'd make it to the boat landing. We did, only to meet a monster storm right on top of us. Talk about getting a boat out of the water quickly!! We made it just in time before the down pour!! I'm telling we made some major memories on Saturday. I'm certain we'll be talking about this for quite some time. ** To Chris' defense the fuel gauge was broken so when we filled up prior to heading out the gauge showed more then what was actually in the tank. :(

Our damsel in distress. He would peek up at the road every so often waiting for George to drive by.
