My daughter always amazes me...
I decided to give her a bath before I made dinner tonight that way she didn't get one too late. As we were upstairs playing in the bath tub I got the shock of my life. As she was sitting in the bath playing with the beads of water on the side she passed gas. No big deal. This is normal for my little angel. What was not normal, were the two short logs that floated out from under her bum!! Shocked. I didn't quite realize what these rather familiar objects were. Heck, I'm an adult. I've been wiping my butt for years now; I should have known what these were! Although, in that split second I was dumbfounded. Then, the panic set in. What was I supposed to do with her? Who was going to grab these things? Not me. Should I let the water run out? But, what if they leave marks on the tub? What if Elle grabs one and squishes it? Ewe! Gross! CHRISTOPHER!!!!!!
My poor, yet brave husband greets me in the bathroom only to find me hanging his little girl like a piece of smelly trash over the tub. Being resourceful as he is, he saved the day by scooping up the little Lincoln Logs with an empty toilet paper roll one by one! Brave I tell you. Brave. I surely wasn't going to stick my hand in that nasty water!! Team work wins it every time.
