Like the title states...we built a tent...in Elloree's room. Right now we're able to get away with a single sheet constituting as a tent, but I'm sure the day will come when Chris will push for the real outdoor tent...possibly in doors. :)
Our thought was to snuggle in and enjoy a movie with one another and maybe take in the indoor stars via Mrs. Starry Night Turtle. Once all the key ingredients were in place, our movie had started and the stars were twinkling my "first time" mom brain whispered..."this is a need pictures moment." Man, if I had a "mother of four brain" it would have whispered, "don't move, enjoy the movie, you'll crack the mood." BUT before I could stop the whisper in my head I popped up and said "Stay still. I'll be right back!" RIIGGGHHTTT! What was I thinking? When I had returned the sweet, quite little girl I had left just seconds ago was up and getting into everything! So, we decided to take pictures of us being silly. First with Mommy and then with Daddy.
Eventually, we did get back to the movie, but Elloree felt she would be in charge of the remote and controls. It went something like this...
"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"
"Bada. Bada. Bada. Daddy. Bada. Bada. Work."
"Daddy. Work? Bada. Bada. Bada. Daddy. Work? No."
This was a ,"See, it won't work. I've tried everything."
Which eventually ended with Chris explaining to her that she shouldn't touch the screen and pushing the buttons on the remote probably made her movie start over again.
Looking at these pictures makes me envision all of the other issues she's going to have, that will require her to come running to her Daddy for help and a gentle word.
