After a little coaxing Chris agreed to putting up our Christmas decorations yesterday. For some reason every year he feels that we should wait until Dec 1 to put out anything Christmas related!! Ba Humbug!! I'm not sure if he's gotten this idea from traditions when he was growing up or if it's just his way of putting off having to help lug everything down from the attic. I'm not sure what is is but I was very pleased when he agreed to make the house more festive! As Christmas is not my favorite holiday he never has to worry too much about me going overboard with decorations or anything major for in the house, just the good ole fake tree, a few Santa's here and there, the candy cane calendar and the very important manger scene. With that said, we do get kinda particular about the lights and decorations outside and this year we decide switch things up. Normally we have either the classic white lights or the colorful, yet tasteful icicle lights, but this year we decide to go old school and decorate the house with the big colorful single bulbs. Growing up it seemed like these were the lights everyone had. I'm not sure if it was because this was all they made of if everyone just liked the lights. Whatever it was we've jumped on the wagon and are trying them out this year. So now the stocks, have been hung with care by the back door, the tree has been trimmed and house is as colorful as can be, all is well here tonight. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. :)
